About Adams Mountain Neighborhood
The neighborhood was formed in the mid-1980s with the first home-owner led HOA in the early 90’s. The neighborhood maintains their own roads, tennis court, and pool with bath house.
Adams Mountain is a gated community 24/7. Each homeowner has their own unique code to open the gates and has the capability of having guests call from the gate’s security pad. If you have questions about our gates, check “gates” on the Contact Us page and post your question there.
Residents have a few choices regarding trash pickup. You can either bring your trash to one of Wake County’s Convenience Centers (click link to view) or contact one of the local trash collectors (see list below). Need to replace your mailbox lock?
Go to the post office and place a work order. In the past, this cost $15.
When they call you a few days later, pick up 3 new keys and the held mail from the post office.
That’s it. We are not supposed to replace it ourselves since it is Federal property. Contact the Post Office Consumer Affairs (336-668-1246) if you have questions.
If we have a mail delivery problem (such as recurring mis-routed mail), you can also call our local post office number (919-844-4726).
Notice: New Voluntary Prelitigation Mediation Law
Pursuant to Section 7A-38.3F of the North Carolina General Statutes, all members are hereby informed that you have a right to initiate mediation pursuant to the terms of the statute to try to resolve a dispute with the Association. Both the homeowner and the Association must agree to mediate the dispute, and each side is responsible for splitting the cost of the mediation, including payment of a professional mediator. The mediation process is an opportunity to reach an agreement to resolve a dispute — neither side gives up their right to go to court to have a judge resolve the dispute if the parties are not able to reach an agreement through mediation. The specific process to initiate voluntary mediation is outlined in Section 7A-38.3F of the North Carolina General Statutes.
